Location / Soil

South to southwest / green and blue schist; quartz veins

Vine age

15 years. The vineyards were cultivated as such for centuries, but were closed down in the 1940s. The soils were allowed to rest and regenerate for 6 decades.

Harvest / Yield

15 September 2018 – 10 hl/ha

Fermentation

Spontaneous fermentation in steel tank, pressing after 18 days, malolactic fermentation in steel tank and barrels.

Storage / Removal

13 months in steel tank and new 500 l barrels; 12 months in bottle.

Analysis

12.5% alcohol; acidity 5.9 g/l; 0.9 g / l residual sugar
